Borgeous San Francisco Event Review Jan 30th

Borgeous San Francisco Event Review Jan 30th

The Regency Ballroom is a staple of the music scene in the city of San Francisco. Sure there are clubs like Ruby Skye, Audio, and Vessel here in the city beside the bay, but the Regency is another animal. Built in 1909 this venue has stood up to the test of time. It’s a special place that welcome the best of the best in all styles of music whether it is punk to rock to electronic. This past Saturday was no different as the Regency welcomed the one and only Borgeous.

Amidst the 35 foot tall ceilings littered with 22 teardrop chandeliers, the beat was on and it was sick. This comes to no surprise as Borgeous stock has been sky rocketing as of late. If you have not gotten into his music yet, you should. Trust me. In fact, he is so popular as of right now that he sold out the Regency a week prior to the show. That’s huge and a real testament to his fans and current popularity.

Opening prior to the main act was Lookas who warmed up the crowd quite nicely. The anticipation grew throughout the night as all were waiting for Borgeous to hit the decks. And when he did the crowd went insane. Over two hours of maximal beats both melodic and also hard hitting, a feat not easily done, but crafted with care and style by the man on the decks, Borgeous.

Some notable tracks from the night include, Wildfire on DOORN and Spinnin Records as well as the DVBBS collaboration of the huge track Tsunami as well as the original mixes of Invincible and Celebration. Playing for over two hours, the crowd was energized the entire time and it seemed like they wanted it to never end. But alas all good things come to an end, but it was definitely a great night and one to remember.

Be sure to check out more Borgeous music HERE and for future tour dates go HERE as well. Hope to see you at the next show.
