Crizzly, the Texas bass pioneer of his own genre “Crunkstep” has been turning out remixes for years and has today, for the first time just released his long awaited debut solo release. The expectedly ridiculous titled single “DROP DAT ASS” features the vocals from Crichy Crich and is Crizzly at his finest
Hebinomichi, one of the newer artist collectives to pop up on the internet, just dropped their second compilation album with a ton of tunes. This one from our boys TastyTreat demonstrates some really forward-thinking production. The duo linked up with BLACK MONDAY and Cory Enemy to conceive a blend of R&B and Club-esque sound that they are becoming known for. With the accompaniment of beautiful vocals from a rather unknown singer in Amory, this one is a serious heater. Download for free here.
Following her Super Bowl performance, Missy Elliot has become relevant again as she just hopped on Jack U’s “Take U There” remix and is now heavily sampled on the incredible new Goldlink and Falcons collab. Goldlink had a very strong year in 2014 pumping out amazing collaborations with Kaytranada, Sango, Chet Faker, and ZHU in addition to releasing a great mixtape turned EP titled The God Complex. This versatile DC area rapper has teamed up with the very talented producer Falcons out of LA while Goldlink displays his lyrical prowess over the edgy, yet smooth production on “Vroom.” This track will certainly be on repeat as Missy’s vocals were masterfully sampled and incorporated into the entire beat to provide for an infectious hip hop tune. He had a tremendous MoMA PS1 Warm-up set that pulled him into multiple publications and his music garnered tons of acclaim across the globe. As his success grew, he was featured more for remixes, and then pulled in to produce artists like Ariana Grande as well as Kanye West recently (Adidas runway show, and SNL 40).
Our friends TastyTreat teamed up with BLACK MONDAY to deliver an awesome remix today. They went after Cathedrals and one of the biggest tracks from their self-titled EP. ”Want My Love” is a beautiful vocal track, and gets a welcomed edit with this remix. Warm synths and break inspired percussion transform this track into a really sexy future bass piece. Needless to say, keep an eye on these young producers as they continue to impress with each release. Grab the free download here!

It’s always risky giving older tunes a modern twist yet when pulled off properly can pay off well. Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot” has been brought back to life in all it’s glory thanks to newcomer producer Tim Gunter. He’s dropped us off a trap styled remix packing fully new drums and a funky drop we didn’t expect. I could see this getting support from lots of DJs which makes sense since why Tim created the bootleg remix for Benzi’s Diplo and Friends guest mix. Listen to the remix below and grab a free download. Enjoy!
The Rooftop Boys remix of “Bound 2″ by Kanye West is ballin’! A deep-house remix, this “Bound 2″ remix is the first song released from the NYC based producer duo. The summer feels on this record are immense and definitely revive the Yeezus single with a fresh vibe. It doesn’t feature Kanye West, however, only chorus from Charlie Wilson, but what’s still dope about the track is its experimental, big-room room sound. Perfect for summer day parties and pre-games The Rooftop Boys “Bound 2 remix” is available for free download. Take a listen to the stream below and grab it by liking The Rooftop Boys on Facebook. Enjoy!
Distinguished DJ/producer and Mad Decent label founder, Diplo, has just teamed up with increasingly-prominent Canadian producer, Grandtheft to deliver a grooving, bass-filled remix of Calvin Harris’ anthemic track, “Summer”. Before listening, many fans probably set their expectations for this remix rather high, remembering the two artist’s massive collaborative remix of Calvin’s signature tune, “Sweet Nothing”, (ft. Florence Welch), which was released last year.
