Crookers “I Just Can’t” feat. Jeremih (Remixes)
With a little over a month remaining until the release of his new album, Sixteen Chapel, Crookers presents a fresh set of remixes of his killer single “I Just Can’t” feat. Jeremih to tide over his fans. Out today on Dim Mak, Chris Lorenzo, Panic City, Stabber and Tazer each offer their own unique interpretation of the song which has been supported by the likes of Jack Ü, Oliver Heldens, Martin Garrix, Pete Tong and Dim Mak’s own Steve Aoki, among others. This marks the second set of remixes for the single, following the April release of reworks from GTA and Hybrid Theory. TJR’s remix is available here for free download.
In addition to “I Just Can’t” feat. Jeremih, Crookers new album (due out June 16th) features collaborations with TJR, Zombie Nation, Antwon, STS and more. It’s a glitchy electro house masterpiece with sprinkles of Hip-Hop and R&B to get your ass shaking all summer long.
Previously described by Pitchfork as “one of the more promising examples of an ongoing cross-pollination between the club and “the club,” Crookers remains one of the most prominent DJs working today. Achieving his first major success in 2008, Crookers’ remix of Kid Cudi’s “Day ‘N Nite” reached top 20 in 21 countries, top five in six different countries, and twice platinum in the United States. 2010 saw the release of Crookers’ debut album Tons of Friends, which featured an all-star lineup that included the likes of Miike Snow, Pitbull and Major Lazer. The 2011 follow up, Dr. Gonzo, proved to be another step forward for Phra, as he once again showcased his ability to produce catchy club beats without compromising his originality.
