Nicky Romero Light Nighclub June 18th Event Coverage
Light is a one-of-a-kind experience. Visually this nightclub amazes with LED screens that span the entire front walls and then percolate to the ceilings. It is an immersive environment that will certainly leave you in awe. Powered by Cirque du Soleil, Light Nightclub is housed inside of the famed Mandalay Bay. The club gives every patron an amazing view no matter where you are. Spread about on multiple levels there is ample space to walk around and roam. However the dance floor does get packed and on Wednesday June 18th, that was definitely true, as Light celebrated its illustrious 1 year anniversary with the one and only Nicky Romero.
As one of the premier resident DJs at Light, Nicky Romero, brought his energy, enthusiasm, and love of EDM to Vegas. Including Romero, the other notable Light residents include Alesso, A-Track, Axwell, Bassjackers, Carl Cox, Clockwork, Dirty South, Krewella, Sebastian Ingrosso, Skrillex, and Thomas Gold.
Notable tracks of the night included Nicky’s collaboration with Krewella, “Legacy”, as well as his classic vocal track with Avicii “I Could Be The One.” The ever pounding synth and beatline of “Toulouse” rocked the crowd. I personally expected Nicky to slap on his usual V for Vendetta mask, but instead someone in the crowd handed him a bracelet with a cutout of the mask. Like a good sport he put the bracelet on and rocked it throughout the night. At the end of his set, Nicky played an ID vocal track that is sure to be his next single. Time will tell though, but the sooner you go to one of his shows the better the chance you have to hear it first…
