Diplo at XS Show Coverage Feb 21st
XS is again becoming a shining light on the Vegas nightlife scene. I’m not saying it ever left, but it has been awhile since it opened, over 7 years in fact. With time, fads come in and out, things get cool and then not so cool. That is just how it works. Yet a breath of fresh air has come to XS thanks to a recent multi million dollar renovation. XS has stood its ground in the test of time but with the new lighting system, interior, revamped exterior, the club is again the elite of the elite in Vegas alongside Hakkasan and most likely her sister cousin property opening up in a few weeks, Omnia.
XS is the best of both worlds, meaning you have the intimate feel of a club, yet the expanse and area of a festival thanks to the way the club is structured inside as well as the massive outdoor pool area. The party came to XS this past weekend and it came in the form of the one and only Diplo. Alongside residents, David Guetta, Avicii, and Kaskade, Diplo is one of the main draws in regards to a DJ and producer that XS and more so any venue could have. He brings the crowds. He brings the beats. He brings the party.
This past Saturday was no different as the twerk master brought down the house to at an capacity crowd of revelers. Getting on the decks a little past 1am he played to the wee hours of the morning to an eclectic mix of house, electro, trap, and even some good ole moombaton.
Some notable tracks throughout the night included, the recent collaboration between Fatboy Slim that was remixed by W&W, Epparei feat Pin as well as the original mix of Boy Oh Boy who Diplo did alongside with GTA. Also Earthquake and Bust A Move were not to be missed as well and got the party going and going.
The crowd was especially hyped up and glammed up, which most likely to coincide with the start of Chinese New Year. It seems like the year of the ram, goat, sheep or whatever you want to call it will be prosperous and hopefully filled with nights just like this past Saturday.
