The assertion
A neat table can erase the conditions that made its rows different. The claim is our unit of analysis. Keep an assertion small enough to cite, challenge and revise without rewriting an entire product story.
A row that needs care
The same unit does not establish the same measurement method. A ledger entry should identify the object, preserve the statement in context and name the supporting document. Treat a field as unresolved when its evidence is missing. This prevents a tidy-looking table from silently becoming a collection of guesses.
The next entry
Preserve the method label alongside the displayed value. Keep the question, the source reference and the remaining limitation together so that a later reader can reconstruct the reasoning.
