The assertion

A corrected row should explain the change, not merely replace the value. The claim is our unit of analysis. Keep an assertion small enough to cite, challenge and revise without rewriting an entire product story.

A row that needs care

Silent edits erase the route from an earlier source to the present interpretation. A ledger entry should identify the object, preserve the statement in context and name the supporting document. Treat a field as unresolved when its evidence is missing. This prevents a tidy-looking table from silently becoming a collection of guesses.

The next entry

Keep a dated revision note tied to the affected assertion. Keep the question, the source reference and the remaining limitation together so that a later reader can reconstruct the reasoning.
