Tiesto at Hakkasan Las Vegas July 4th Show Review

Tiesto at Hakkasan Las Vegas July 4th Show Review

Hakkasan is THE place to party in Las Vegas and has been for well over a year.  Recently celebrating its one year anniversary, this club has built a reputation and name for itself.  Hakkasan landed itself on the DJ Mag rankings as the number 10 club in the world and in the top spot for all of the US.  It is no wonder that the top DJs in the world flock here.  Calvin Harris, Hardwell, and Tiesto, just to name a few, call Hakkasan home – as exclusive DJ residents. In all, this megaclub measures over 5 stories and covers a whopping 80,000 square feet for a total capacity for around 3,000 patrons.

This past Friday night we celebrated our country’s Independence Day and Hakkasan was filled to the brim. Not only was it July 4th but it was also when the “King of Las Vegas”, Tiesto, returned to the Hakkasan decks. Upon entry you are greeted by a massive facade that looks like a hardened rock fortress embezzled with the blue HK monogram, short for of course Hakkasan.  You then ascend 4 floors by elevator and go in a hallway that leads up to a small staircase and hallway into the dance floor that almost reminds you of a bee hive with its honeycomb structure all around the sides. From the fifth floor you can look down upon the craziness that is the dance floor and elevated DJ booth, definitely a good place to go to to get away from the massive crowds that accumulate below, but that is where all of the fun is right..?!

There is no other place in the world that Tiesto plays more times a year than Hakkasan.  Almost every other week or even every week Tiesto will be at the decks of this club.  In fact he’s due to be back in a little less than a week on this upcoming Thursday.  Tickets are still available HERE if you are going to be around. Just coming off his most recent studio Album, “A Town Called Paradise,” Tiesto played his usual culprits including, Light Years Away (feat. DBX), Echoes (feat. Andreas Moe), Let’s Go (feat. Icona Pop) Close To Me (feat Quilla), and Set Yourself Free (feat. Krewella), just to name a handful.

One of the most special parts of the night was when Tiesto’s Red Lights dropped.  The entire place turned into a shade of red with the overhead lights as well as the partygoers LED bracelets turning that color.  Definitely a cool experience and helped set the mood for that melodic chart topping smasher that is Red Lights.

Again we have said it before and we will say it again, Hakkasan is not to be missed on your next time in Vegas.  Even better yet, if Tiesto is there you better make sure you are as well.

The Regency Ballroom is a staple of the music scene in the city of San Francisco. Sure there are clubs like Ruby Skye, Audio, and Vessel here in the city beside the bay, but the Regency is another animal. Built in 1909 this venue has stood up to the test of time. It's a special place that...
