After releasing the highly anticipated SBCR & Adversaries Vol. 2 and embarking on a North American Tour this past fall, electro lord Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo aka The Bloody Beetroots unveils a massive free track just in time for the holidays.

“Back To The Top” uses classic SBCR elements – rock-heavy guitar plucks, scattered percussion, and grimy synths – to create a tune that is as fit for the nightclub as it is for everyday mischief. With howling laughter and sporadic drop tuned vocals, “Back To The Top” separates itself from the average December offerings.

In an attempt to giftwrap a WAV file, Rifo delivers his gift with a message:

“As someone who still believes in Santa Claus and honors the tradition of giving and the spirit of Christmas, I have decided to make a gift for you all! It’s not exactly as soft as sweet-scented Christmas candy, but I think you will appreciate the amount of metal that we have put in there! So This is Christmas…no f*ck, So This is “Back to the Top” by SBCR & TWNTYMLS. Feliz Navidad. Santa Bob Cornelius Rifo, Twntymls & The Glorious SBCR Team.”

Since debuting in spring 2015, SBCR has displayed his synth-laden, cinematic sound via two EPs on DIM MAK – SBCR & Friends Vol. 1 and SBCR & Adversaries Vol. 2. While The Bloody Beetroots remain an eclectic, rock-influenced live band, SBCR is Sir Bob’s solo performance project under which he releases electro, dance-punk productions. During his recent North American tour, he had a chance to catch up with LessThan3 to dive deeper into his new work. In his own words,

“The Bloody Beetroots is my main soul, but to evolve, I must take this journey as SBCR. SBCR is development and research: two necessary elements for evolution…including the human aspect”.
