MAKJ at Ruby Skye Review April 30th

MAKJ at Ruby Skye Review April 30th

It was a warm almost summer night in the Bay Area and when I mean warm, it was actually borderline hot for this part of the bay – Socal warm. The Warriors were making their way through the playoffs. The Giants had just swept the Dodgers. It was a good week. Q great start to a hopefully even better weekend. Everyone knows that the weekend starts on Thursday right…TGIF…am I right? And oh did it start off with a bang thanks in huge part to MAKJ as he stopped by on his North American tour in the city by the bay on his way to party it up in Las Vegas at Drai’s Nightclub and Dayclub.

The crowd was abuzzing as the opener went through his motions with a set full of deep and tropical house. Something told me that this tempo and beat style could not keep going. And I was right. As the clock struck midnight, the LA native, MAKJ stepped onto the decks to play a completely unforgiving set of trap, house, and everything and anything in between. It was a pop and hip hop induced set that was played perfectlty to the get up and party crowd that came to Ruby Skye.

Some notable tracks include, Go with the Shotek Edit, Generic on SPINNIN’ RECORDS, and Countown the single track MAKJ did with the #1 DJ in the world Hardwell.

Borgeous San Francisco Event Review Jan 30th

The Regency Ballroom is a staple of the music scene in the city of San Francisco. Sure there are clubs like Ruby Skye, Audio, and Vessel here in the city beside the bay, but the Regency is another animal. Built in 1909 this venue has stood up to the test of time. It's a special place that...
