During Miami Music Week the EDM labels come out in force. Most of the major electronic music labels host their own pool party or nightclub night to showcase the best of their talent and what they have been up to for the past year. It’s a time for label bosses to bask in the glory of what they and their talent have accomplished over the past few months.
Axtone is in its 10th year for such a showcase in Miami. That is a long time. No kidding. Axwell and his label Axtone have been a staple in Miami Music Week for as long as we remember. The people of Miami love the man and most importantly they love his music. Who can blame them?! Perhaps it’s because of the Swedish House Mafia that there is such an allure to Axwell as well as his former bandmates Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, but when you cut to the chase it is about downright, god damn, good music.
This year’s Axtone event will be at the iconic venue, the Surfcomber and include acts such as Amtrack, Chocolate Puma, Deniz Koyu, Kryder, Shapov, and Tom Starr. Keep in mind that is still phase 1 of the lineup so many more to follow and don’t be the least surprised to see Axwell on the decks during the event. Because you know…it is his party.
